The top rated badge is the official Feedbax "Top Rated" seal. It tells a website visitor in one image what would otherwise take a whole references page to explain: this company is among the best rated providers.
You will find it in the dashboard under Marketing > Top Rated Badges.
When it is unlocked
The badge is unlocked automatically as soon as your company meets both of these:
at least 10 reviews on your Feedbax profile, and
an average overall rating of 4.5 stars or higher.
There is nothing to apply for. Once both values are reached, the badge images appear on the page. If one of the two is missing, the page shows "Badges not Available" and only the explanatory note.
The two values are linked and pull in different directions: the tenth review does you no good if it drags your average below 4.5. The other way round, an average of 5.0 from three reviews is not enough either. You need quantity and quality at the same time.
How to get to ten reviews
The fastest route is customers you have just finished with. Three approaches that work in practice:
Ask right after the project closes. Satisfaction is highest then and the details are still fresh.
Embed the feedback badge. It is one of the six widget variants and it takes visitors straight to your collection page. See Embedding review widgets.
Use collection by phone. Feedbax calls your reference customers and records the review. All it costs you is the contact details.
How to use it
The page holds four language versions of the same badge: English ("Top Rated"), German ("Top Bewertung"), Dutch ("Hoogst Beoordeeld") and French ("Très bien noté"). Below each image there is a "Download Badge" button.
Download the version in the language your website runs in. For multilingual sites download several and use the matching one per language version.
Upload the image to your website.
Link it to your Feedbax profile. This is the step most often forgotten and the one that makes all the difference: a badge without a link is just a graphic. A badge with a link is verifiable proof, and it is exactly that verifiability which creates trust.
Place it where visitors are close to a decision: on the home page, on the services page and near the contact form.
The badge is an image, not a widget
An important difference to the review widgets:
The top rated badge is a downloaded image file. It does not update and shows no numbers.
The review widgets are embedded through code, update themselves and show your current rating and review count.
The 100 score points are only for an embedded widget, not for a downloaded badge.
So the best combination is both: the badge as a strong image in a prominent spot, plus a widget with the running numbers.
How this connects to the Feedbax score
The badge itself awards no score points. But its conditions feed straight into your score: reviews are the single strongest factor in the Feedbax score, and both the count and the average go into it. Whoever reaches 10 reviews at 4.5 stars almost automatically has a good score too.

What you need
No subscription. The top rated badge depends purely on your reviews. It is therefore open to providers without a plan too, as soon as they have the ten reviews with a good average.

What does the badge cost?
Nothing. It is not tied to any plan tier.
Why do I only see "Badges not Available"?
Then one of the two conditions is missing: either not yet 10 reviews, or an average below 4.5 stars.
Do I have to apply for the unlock?
No. It happens automatically once both values are reached.
Can I lose the badge again?
The unlock always follows your current state. If your average slips below 4.5, the condition is no longer met. An image you already downloaded is still on your machine, but continuing to show it would no longer be covered.
Which languages is the badge available in?
Four: English, German, Dutch and French.
Do I have to link the badge?
Not technically, but in substance absolutely. Without a link to the profile nobody can verify what the badge rests on, and that is exactly its purpose.
Does the badge earn me score points?
No. The 100 points are for an embedded review widget.
