Before your review goes online, you confirm it twice: once with the link sent to your business email address and once with the approval in your Feedbax dashboard. This way readers know that a real customer is writing. This article guides you through both steps.
At a glance
Two steps: "Send link" in step 7 of the review, then "Approve" under "My reviews".
Business address: Feedbax does not accept private inboxes such as Gmail or GMX, or disposable addresses.
Account: created with the first click on the link, free of charge. If you already have an account, the link signs you in.
Two confirmations: real collaboration and nothing in return. Without both, nothing can be approved.
Nothing without approval: a review that you do not approve is never published.
After that: the Feedbax team checks the review, see After approval: the Feedbax check.
How it works
The link goes to the address you enter. Only the click on it proves that you use this address. The approval in the dashboard therefore also counts as confirmation of your email address. With it, the review becomes part of your Feedbax account, and you can see its status there at any time.
Feedbax requires a business address because it shows that a company stands behind the review. Anyone can create an inbox with a free email provider.
Requesting the confirmation link
Open step 7, "Confirm your review". The steps before it are shown in Reviewing a provider: the 7 steps.
If it says "Something is still missing", click "Add" next to each entry. You jump to the matching step and get back here with "Back to confirmation".
Enter your address in the "Business email" field. If the provider invited you, the address from the invitation is already there. You can change it.
Click "Send link".
The list "Something is still missing" can name these points: "At least one service", "The budget", "The project length", "All five star ratings", "Starting point", "Approach", "Outcome", "First and last name", "Your company" and "The size of your company". "Send link" stays locked until nothing is missing. For the budget, "Confidential" is enough, see Do I have to disclose the project costs?
After that the page shows "Sent" with a note to check your inbox and the address the link went to. Below it is the path of your review: "Written", "Your approval", "Feedbax check" and "Published". The "Go to my reviews" button takes you to your dashboard.
What Feedbax checks when sending
Valid address: otherwise "Please enter a valid business email address."
Business address: otherwise "Please use your business email address. Private inboxes such as Gmail or Outlook.com and disposable addresses don't work here."
No third-party contact details: if your text names a person's email address, phone number or postal address, no link is sent. Remove these details in the draft. A name alone does not stop the sending.
At most three links per day: per review. After that it says "You have already requested several links today. Please try again tomorrow."
If the email could not be sent, it says "The link could not be sent. Please try again in a moment."
Opening the email
The email names the provider you reviewed. A click on "View and release review" confirms your address, signs you in and opens your dashboard with exactly this review. If there is no Feedbax account for your address yet, the click creates it. The email points this out to you.
If no email arrives, look in your spam folder and check the address on the "Sent" page.
Approving in your dashboard
Under "My reviews", your review is at the very top with the status "Waiting for your approval". Via the link from the email it is already expanded.
Read the review once more: "Read your review once more. Feedbax checks and publishes it only after you approve it." Below that are your stars and your text. If the text was created in a conversation, it is marked "Written with AI from your answers". Only you see this note.
Tick both boxes: "I really worked with this provider." and "I received nothing in return for this review."
Click "Approve". The button only becomes active with both boxes ticked. Below it you read: "Approving also confirms your email address."
After that your review shows "In review", with the date of approval. What happens next is described in After approval: the Feedbax check. An overview of all areas of the dashboard is given in Client dashboard: the overview.
Changing something before approval
Under "My reviews", click "Edit".
The review becomes a draft again, and the review page opens.
Change whatever you like.
In step 7, request a new link with "Send link" and approve the review again.
When you edit, your two confirmations lapse. You give them again with the new approval. More on continuing in Continue a review later.
Special cases
Wrong address entered: the "Sent" page shows where the link went. A new address cannot currently be entered there. So check the address before you click "Send link".
Already a Feedbax account with a different address: the review belongs to the account with the address the link went to. Sign in with this address to see it.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my private email address not enough?
A business address shows that a company stands behind the review. That makes Feedbax reviews credible, see Why Feedbax reviews are meaningful.
Does the account cost anything?
No. The account is free and does not commit you to anything. More in Is Feedbax free for clients?
What happens if I do not approve?
Then the review stays under "My reviews" with "Waiting for your approval" and is never published. You can approve or edit it later.
What do the two confirmations mean?
You assure us that you really worked with the provider and received nothing for the review, neither money nor a discount nor anything else in return. The rules behind this are described in Who may review a provider?
How often can I request the link?
Up to three times per review and day. The next day it works again.
I deleted the email.
Sign in to Feedbax with the address the link went to. Under "My reviews", the review shows "Waiting for your approval", and you approve it there.
