The page Company Profile > Locations decides which location-based directories you appear in. That is its real purpose: a client looking for a provider in Hamburg only finds you if Hamburg is entered here.
What you enter per location
Every location has the same fields:
Country (dropdown)
Street
City
Postcode
Phone number
The first block is called Main location, every further one Another location. The X icon on the right removes an additional location again. The main location cannot be deleted.
The city search is supported by a map function: start typing and matching addresses are suggested. Take a suggestion and country, city and postcode are set cleanly.
Finish with "Save changes".
How many locations your subscription allows
This is the most important number on this page:
Starter: 1 location
Business: 2 locations
Premium: 4 locations
Enterprise: unlimited
If you have entered more locations than your subscription allows, only the first ones are shown and counted. The rest stay saved and reappear as soon as you upgrade. Nothing is lost.
Below the allowed number the page shows a note with the next subscription tier.
Why additional locations pay off
Alongside the subject directories, Feedbax also runs location-based directories, for example "web development Hamburg". Every location you enter places you in the directories of its region.
That works in two places:
More organic listings. You appear in more result lists without paying extra.
More reach for your top placement. If you book a budget for a directory, it also applies to all associated location-based directories. Two locations therefore double the effect of the same budget. See Top placement: appearing at the top of the directories.
So enter real offices where you genuinely work. An invented mailbox address is noticed during the check and does not help you.
How this feeds into your profile progress
The Locations section splits into four parts at 25 percent each: country, city, street and phone number. The postcode does not count separately.
Important: it is enough if any of your locations has the respective field filled. A fully completed main location therefore already brings the section to 100 percent.
The traffic light is red below 50 percent, orange below 80 percent and green above that. The most common reason for 75 instead of 100 percent is a missing phone number.
Frequently asked questions
We only have one office. Is that enough?
Yes. A fully completed main location brings a full 100 percent in this section. Additional locations bring reach, but no further progress.
We work fully remote. What do we enter?
Enter the address at which you are reachable as a business, which is usually your registered office from the imprint. Without a location you appear in no regional directory.
Can we have locations in different countries?
Yes. The Country field is freely selectable per location. Feedbax runs directories in several countries, and every location places you in the matching ones.
I downgraded and no longer see a location. Is it gone?
No. It is only hidden because your current subscription allows fewer locations. As soon as you upgrade again it is back.
Is the phone number here the same as the one for leads?
No. The number here belongs to the location. The number clients use to reach you about a request sits under Company Profile > Contact for Leads. Enter both, they appear at different points of your profile.
