The page Company Profile > Portfolio is titled "Key data" and gathers four blocks that all serve the same purpose: proving that you have already delivered.
The hint reads: "You have served well-known customers, received various awards, have an impressive company presentation or would like to highlight your successful projects? Here you can take your company profile to the next level."
The four blocks
Key clients
A tag input field. You type a client name and press Enter, which turns it into a chip. That way you line up as many names as you like.
This is the fastest block on the whole page. In five minutes you have twenty names in there, and they count towards your profile progress right away.
Only enter clients you genuinely worked for. Available on every subscription.
Awards & partner status
Built the same way: type, Enter, chip. Awards and official partnerships belong here, for example "Gold partnership with Microsoft" or "Member of Bitkom".
This block is unlocked from Business. On Starter you see a subscription notice here instead of the input field.
Downloads
A title field and a file upload. The hint is explicit: "Upload your company presentation or promo slidedeck. It must be a PDF file."
Exactly one file is possible. If one is already stored you see it under "Uploaded document" with a "Delete" button. Only then can you upload a new one.
A good title describes the content, for example "Company presentation 2026" rather than "Download". Available on every subscription.
Case studies
The most important block, carrying the green badge "Significant ranking boost". Case studies have their own article: Create compelling case studies to clearly and convincingly demonstrate your expertise.
The number depends on your subscription:
Starter: 3 case studies
Business: 12
Premium: 20
Enterprise: 100
Once the quota is full, the "Add case study" button disappears and a notice about the next tier takes its place.
Why case studies matter more than everything else here
Case studies are not decoration. They are a hard condition in two decisive places:
Top company badge. One of the five conditions is at least one case study matching the service or focus area of that directory. Without it you do not even enter the running, however good your score is.
Applying for a project request. In its first step the application wizard checks whether you have at least one case study with the required expertise. If it is missing, the application is blocked.
So having many case studies is not enough. They must be assigned to the right services and focus areas. The competitor table on your dashboard home page has a column for this: "Matching Cases". That is the number that counts.
How this feeds into your profile progress
The Portfolio section splits up like this:
at least one case study: 25 percent
more than two case studies: another 25 percent
at least one entry under key clients: 15 percent
at least one entry under awards: 15 percent
an uploaded PDF: 20 percent
That is 100 percent together. The traffic light is red below 50, orange below 80 and green above that.
A practical order follows from this: three case studies bring half the section. Key clients and a PDF bring another 35 percent for very little effort. Only the last 15 percent (awards) is tied to a subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Are we allowed to name clients without asking?
Check that against your contracts. Some framework agreements contain a reference clause, others explicitly forbid naming. When in doubt, ask the client, which is usually one email.
Why do I only see a subscription notice under "Awards & partner status"?
This block is unlocked from Business. On Starter an overlay covers it. The other three blocks on the page remain fully usable.
Can I upload several PDFs?
No, exactly one file is possible. To replace it, click "Delete" first and then upload the new one.
I have 20 case studies but "Matching Cases" shows 0. How can that be?
Because none of them is assigned to the service or focus area of that directory. Open the case studies in question and assign them to the matching service. Without that assignment they do not count for that directory.
I downgraded. Are my surplus case studies deleted?
They are no longer shown or counted, but they stay saved. After an upgrade they are back.
