In Your favorites you collect providers that convince you and compare them in one place. For each provider you record where they stand, rate them on four criteria and note your impressions. Only you can see all of this.
At a glance
Where: in the Your favorites section of your client dashboard. You open the full list with Open all favorites or via My favorites in the user menu.
Private: only you can see the status, assessment and notes. Providers learn nothing about them.
Assessment: four criteria with half stars from 0.5 to 5, plus notes of up to 4,000 characters.
Display: you see the first six providers right away, all others via Show all ….
Cost: none.
Saving a provider
You save a provider with the heart icon on their card in the provider search or with Add to favorites on their profile. A message confirms that the provider is in your favorites. The heart also appears at the top of every conversation in the Messages view.
You remove a provider the same way: with the heart icon or with Remove from favorites on the profile. Your dashboard updates the list at once, without you reloading the page.
You find suitable providers in the provider search, via Recommended for you in the dashboard or in our provider directories. No time to search? Then submit a project request, and our team brings you together with suitable providers.
What a row shows
The provider's logo and name.
The public rating with a star, the average and the number of reviews in brackets, if the provider has reviews. More on how providers are ranked in What is the Feedbax Score?.
Your score: the average of your own stars across all criteria you rated, rounded to one decimal place. Without stars it says Not assessed yet.
The Status menu.
Three buttons: Profile opens the profile, Brief sends the provider your briefing, and Assess (the pencil) expands your assessment.
The order sets itself: first providers with the status Hired, then Top choice, then Meeting scheduled, then all others. Within each group the most recently changed one is at the top. If you change a status, the row stays in place until you reload the list.
Setting the status
Every new favorite starts with Saved. In the Status menu, choose where the provider stands. The change is saved at once. If that fails, you see "That didn't work. Please try again."
Status | When to choose it | Filter |
Saved | The provider interests you, nothing more has happened yet. | Open |
Contacted | You have written to the provider and are waiting for a reply. | Open |
No response | The provider has not replied. | Open |
Meeting scheduled | You have planned a meeting with the provider. | Meeting |
Top choice | Your favorite among the providers. | Top choice |
Hired | You have hired the provider. | Hired |
Ruled out | The provider is not an option. The row is shown paler. | Ruled out |
If you set a provider to Hired, the dashboard counts the step Meet providers as done, and with it the steps before it from the project call onwards. If you take the status back, the progress follows.
Filtering by status
Above the list are the filters All, Open, Meeting, Top choice, Hired and Ruled out. Open shows all providers with Saved, Contacted or No response. If no provider matches the filter, it says "Nobody here right now. Pick another filter."
If you change a provider's status while a filter is active, the row stays visible until you switch the filter. That way nothing disappears under your mouse pointer.
Assessing a provider
In the row, click Assess (the pencil). The row expands.
Give Expertise, Communication, Price and Motivation 0.5 to 5 stars each. Half stars are possible: a click on the left half of a star sets the half value. Next to each criterion you can reset the stars if needed.
Under Your notes, write down what stood out to you: strengths, open questions, your impression from the meeting. Up to 4,000 characters are possible.
Click Save. Saved briefly appears next to it.
Below the form, a reminder says "Only you can see this assessment." You do not have to rate all criteria. Your score only counts the ones you rated.
Unsaved stars and notes are kept if you change the status in between or a filter hides the row. They are only stored permanently after Save.
Sending your briefing to a favorite
With Brief in the row, you send the provider your project briefing and a message. You find the reply under Messages. In the Favorites view you send your briefing to all saved providers at once with Send Brief to … Providers.
Would you rather not search yourself? Submit a project request. With the Feedbax pre-selection, our team chooses 3 to 5 top providers for you. With direct market contact, interested providers get in touch with you directly. In the project call we decide together with you which approach suits you best. The process is described in How do project requests work?.
If the list is empty
Without favorites, the section shows No favorites yet and below it Discover providers. If you have not submitted a project request yet, it also shows Submit a project request. If the list cannot be loaded, you see "Your favorites couldn't be loaded just now." with Try again.
Frequently asked questions
Can a provider see that I saved or ruled them out?
No. Status, stars and notes are private. The provider learns nothing about them.
Is "Your score" a review of the provider?
No. Your score is only your private assessment and does not appear publicly anywhere. If you would like to leave a public review after a project, read Reviewing a provider.
What is the fastest way to compare several providers?
Rate all of them on the same four criteria and compare Your score. With the filters Meeting and Top choice you only see the providers that are still in the running.
How do I remove a provider from my favorites?
With the heart icon on their card or with Remove from favorites on the profile. If you would like to keep your notes, set the provider to Ruled out instead.
I have hired a provider. What now?
Set the provider to Hired. What matters next is described in Provider chosen: what happens next.
Are my notes lost if I leave the page?
Yes, if you have not clicked Save. Status changes, on the other hand, are saved by the dashboard at once.
